Here a sad picture of 5 dead upland buzzards under an electricity pole. They were all electrocuted. Some bird's legs were burnt away to their knees. This is at Namtsho a "Natural Reserve". They charge you 120 Yuan entrance fee to the reserve - more than to see Potala Palace! - to see this! |

The killing pole. Since it is a corner pole there is two stabilization cables - additional grounding - probably the reason for the excessive killing. See also the blog on birdforum:
